I'm a desktop user and besides the cuties, I also have gtk stuff like the
gimp, firefox and a few other guis depending on wxgtk. No problems
whatsoever.
Since you do have a problem, you are free to fix it, of course, just don't
enforce the fix on everyone else, as the current one is too blunt.
