You know. There's a ./install.sh that comes with the jdk. For some  
unknown reason, we don't use it. I set up the spell once in the past,  
and it worked. I reccomend the spell go back to using the ./install.sh  
so that it actually installs the way they intend it to. Not some wierd  
extraction and copying that we do...
