[SM-Discuss] gcc 4.0 testing

I followed the recipe at the bottom of this page to make mono spell use
but it still says "GCC 4.0.0" in the compile log. I checked, and GCC 3.4
appears to be working:
$ /opt/gcc34/bin/gcc -v
Reading specs from /opt/gcc34/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/3.4.3/specs
Configured with: /usr/src/gcc-3.4.3/configure --host=x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
--mandir=/opt/gcc34/share/man --enable-threads=posix --enable-languages=c,c++
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.4.3
I'd appreciate a hint. Thanks!
