I like the idea of keeping the "standard" (to us, at least) /etc/udev/udev.conf
file and have our spells put their necessary modifications (optionally, of
course ;)) in /etc/udev/{udev.d or rules.d}/.

If we do it per device we'd have a lot of small files there which may get
annoying (though most users would never have to know/modify them anyways).

That, or spellname. e.g. /etc/udev/rules.d/cdrtools.

Which would we prefer?
