nvidia_driver (stable and beta) are both ABI incompatible with 1.7. I
have not tried ati-driver or any of the other nvidia_driver* packages.

I tested it on two real machines and one VM, only one seemed fully
successful and the other two just needed a recast of the failed spells
(not many, maybe 10).
