I don't know about on your system, but on my system `nc -U` returns:
nc: invalid option -- '-U'
Did you test this with libvirt to see if it actually works? There is a
-U option for socat by the way, which means unidirectional mode in
reverse direction. However, the syntax for specifying local and remote
locations is different between socat and nc, so I'm betting it would
have to be scripted with socat if the addresses are hardcoded in libvirt
(though it *should* work if the script is run).
