The find and scam function is for running on data stuff and that is
often harder to fix pre-install. Same for installing binaries. Though
with binaries the default POST_INSTALL in games grimoire for example
handles those permissions. I don't see the point of needing to modify
this pre-install and it is often harder to do since make install etc...
tend to use install -m 0755 -u root etc... crap... Hence the after it's
installed stuff.
