It would be worth to verify that, it makes no sense depending client
packages on server... Running in X11 does not mean you depend on the
server, you depend on the libs, which communicate with the server. X11
terminology may be a bit confusing at times, but the screen which is
running X is the server, the program is the client. You can use things
like xdmcp and ssh forwarding to run an X11 client (an X program) on a
machine which does not have an X server installed by connecting to it
from a machine which has an X server installed.
Try running a gaze depends xorg-server 2 and you'll see the list is
amazingly short, and having just done that it surprises me that xterm
depends on xorg-server... Hmmn, and directly no less, I feel this should
actually be X11-LIBS as well.
X11-UTILS is a provider for build utilities (util-macros, gccmakedep,
lndir, xorg-cf-files, imake, makedepend) and not provided by xorg-libs,
you should use X11-LIBS afaict, which provides the actual libraries most
X11 programs link with and which is provided by xorg-libs.
