Hello. I must apologise for the trouble I've caused with udev. The error 
reported by Flavien and Pol about pty permissions - caused by my additions to 
50-default.rules - behumbled me. I've indeed put the poor config file on 
steroids without thoroughly examining the consequences.

I'm still in favor of a default ruleset to create a reasonably wide variety of 
device nodes, not only the bare minimum, but I realize that I have taken this 
quest too far. So I'm going to go through the rules with a tight comb during 
the following days in order to minimize the bloat. I will also fix any 
remaining invalid/harmful permission rules, and reformat the file into a more 
readable and logical package.

I'm all ears for what you think are completely useless device nodes.
