Can you give an URL? I'm asking because at some point all/most KDE spells
should undergo editing to allow the user to install only the components
he/she chooses. I'd be happy to know in advance how it should be done.

Neither rewriting default_build nor exporting a variable would be necessary. I
was a bit sloppy in writing my initial suggestion, as this simple line would
work perfectly: 'VAR=foo default_build'. I think that's a lot cleaner than
any sedit in PRE_BUILD.
