(snip)

Not just clean it, but also
apply some kind of agent that kills a multitude of nasty germs.

Question is, is there an ideal sanitizing agent to use that would
kills pathogens inside the dog/cat house, but would not harm the
environment if some of it gets into the gray water?

Any advice?

Thanks,
Gene Griffith

Gene You might consider Effective Microorganisms, a strategy of culturing and preemptively applying various beneficial (or innocuous) microbes to out-compete the nasties for available resources. Very simple and environmentally pure. Here are a few sources for starter cultures and more info.
