My dogs know perfectly well they'd better stay out of the gardens...all of
the gardens. They go around gardens and stay on the paths to the gates.
Dogs are trainable if the owner tries. Also, when corn starts getting ripe
I will tie 2 dogs down in the bottoms by the corn garden EVERY night. it's
the only way I would get any corn. Actually, I think I need to put them
down there now. I noticed deer tracks thru my newly planted peanut bed. My
dogs also help keep the domestic animals where they belong. I couldn't do
it without them. All three are Border Collies. The only problem I have is
that one of them digs moles, but in the yard, not the garden.
My 2 cents worth, Lisa, in the MO Ozarks
