I am coming into this thread really late, thank goodness actually because
I was curious that this topic was so narrow and poorly informed, only to 
discover that the discussion on the topic is even worse.
How can we have forgotten what permaculture is really about,
For some people books are all they have, and I know for me, when i was 
starting out in the early 90's
I was trying to learn some basic living skills from books, then there 
was the internet and I met up with some oldies to show me practical things.
now, people are screaming for healthy living skills, nearly every day 
people are asking us for scholarships.
PLEASE turn your knowledge and energy outwards to helping them!
