[permaculture] "Alternative" Economies

The threads about transition finance and other economic issues
reminded me of a really interesting essay I read a while back. The
idea of money based on 'demurrage' is particularly interesting. A
system in which 'money' loses value if it concentrates and does
circulate would certainly be problematic, but does more closely
reflect the natural systems of constant nutrient cycling, decay,
renewal, etc.
