I think this is a typical example of Homo Sapiens greed for power and control.? I have seen this disease infect non-profits before.? It is a lousy way to treat a founder who has nurtured and grown an organization.? Everyone should write letters and put the board members feet to the fire. Nothing justified who Kent Wheately was treated by the board.

I may be a conspiracy theorist, but the undoing of the SSE seems like a
way to crack the morale, and sharing opportunities of those who do not
support GMO produce/seeds. To 'undo' an organization for a few million
is small change to corporate behemoths.
Remove access to natural, unmodified seed sources and the volume of
good seed will dwindle.
Am I too paranoid?
