A few more ideas.
For growing food:
Soil Blockers, 3/4'" and 2" preferably including a stand-up model. no
plastic pots
Stirrup Hoe, better yet a Wheel Hoe with Stirrup and furrower
attachments.
Japanese hand sickle (Kama)
European Scythe (scythesupply.com)
Seed Cleaning Screens
4 tine cultivator for shaping beds and harvesting tubers
Farmer's hoe for terracing and swaling
For building:
Framing Chisels
Broad Axe
Draw Knife
Bit Brace
Pool trowel and hawk
Block and tackle with snatch block and 150 feet of line
Full disclosure: I source tools for Seed of Change and all the
gardening tools except for the scythe are or will soon be available
through them.
