  Living Off The Land Workshop

This one-day workshop is for those seeking food self-reliance on a rural
homestead (2 to 100 acres). The course is held on a family farm where
we grow a significant part of our diet. By being immersed in a real
operation with all of its inter-relationships, you will gain a thousand
times more understanding than any demonstration models or books could
ever teach. We have implemented and experimented with a variety of food
production techniques drawn from organic farming, permaculture,
agroforestry, indigenous teachings, historical anecdotes, and missionary
work in third world countries. The climate and soils of Central Texas
provide many challenges, and you will save a lot of time and energy by
learning directly from our failures and successes.

A list of topics covered are:

_Water_: rainwater catchment, ponds, wells, grey water systems, earthworks
