[permaculture] weed destruction in large scale paper&mulch

I just run my string trimmer/ push mower over the area first & bring  
everything down to ground level.  If the material hasn't gone to seed  
you can just let it lay.  Then your cardboard & paper sits tighter to  
the ground, & does a better job of suppressing future growth.
