Hi Larry,
I am sending my friend Joan Mahony to you. I am still thinking about
spring. Maybe you could do a weekend of a modular? Also maybe an
evening talk somewhere. I will promote that idea to the people who
support my work.
I am having a problem with the modular format. At least 5 people
missed on day - 7 hours of content.
Four people missed 2 days. That seems like an awful lot of missed
material. There is no way to make it up since I have many guest
teachers adding in project examples.
Do I give them PDC's anyway? How about the ones that sleep in class?
FYI: The course in Manhattan at Inwood Nature Center graduated
something like 28 people. The teacher, Christopher Healy, got his
PDC online. He had never taught permaculture before and does not
have a home site. Three people complained to me about the lack of
course content. One person praised his story-telling. The conveners
cried as they handed out the certificates.
Any thoughts?
I hope your course got off to a good start.
Thanks for being out there.
Claudia
