Antibiotic-resistant staph infection:
Would the following be of any use, topically applied:
tea tree oil soap (Dr. Bronners) - I use it to keep eye and sinus & ear infections in check & it works
tea tree oil (plantation grown, pure undiluted oil only)
1) fresh plantain poultice (greater plantain - large leafed, lesser plantain - rattlesnake plantain)
2) comfrey poultice
3) goldenseal powder (added to the above poultices)
4) long shot - jewelweed, fresh juice of - works on poison ivy - no idea if it would help with staph -
it creates a glossy layer on the skin which seems to protect and heal the affected area;
in the case of poison ivy it reduces itching. With PI I would use 1,2,3,&4 as a poultice held in place with a gauze bandage.
