The Sydney Morning Herald this week is publishing a series of investigative
stories about health and environmental hazards in commercially available
fertilisers in Australia, including organic products.

The articles disclose serious cause for concern. They are necessary reading
for anyone involved in home gardening and farming or in agricultural
environmental issues generally.

Investigative journalists from the Herald last year produced a series on
health threats from the overuse of agrochemicals in Sydney-region market
gardens.
