The easiest way to think of these three terms, for me anyway, is:
firstly think of the growing season for the bulb, then:
if the flowers emerge before the leaves, at the earliest start of the growing season = hysteranthous;
if the flowers emerge after the leaves, at the end of the growing season = proteranthous;
simultaneously = sunanthous.
