Re deep pots: I find that getting a narrow wastebasket (plastic) various
sizes from either Wa-Mart or similar store and drilling about 3-4 holes ion
the bottom with a half-inch drill or burning the holes in with a hot wire
works very well for tall bulbs such as crinum and hymenocallis Using a
small torch on solme of them enables one to turn the top edges down to form
handle for lifting and moving. . Some experimentation is needed to find
which plastic ones do what. Adam in Glenview IL. Z5a but later than Jim W

Subject: [pbs] question on pot depth
Hi All,
I am growing some Brunsvigia though all are just seedlings I was wondering
what depth of pot I should put them in. At the website for stuewe and sons
they have a
TPOT3 7.75 in wide (20cm) and 12.5 in deep (32cm)
or the
TPOT4 7.75 in wide (20cm) and 18 in deep (46cm)
Anyone have a pro or con for the different depth?
I am thinking deeper is better but i dunno.
Tanks fer da hep.
