I have often admired the pictures of Anemone blanda in the catalogs
but never bought any of them because I knew of no one who had planted
them and had them live past a year or two.
My eyes are attracted to the tiny blooms of Claytonia which are busily
turning local yards and fields white with their blooms right now.
Claytonia, a tiny bulbed native American, lives well, blooms well, and
self-seeds well here in our climate. I've often wondered if anyone was
working with Claytonia to try and improve on it?
