Hi Donna- That should do it. Just keep it warm and give it good light. They should sprout fairly quickly (1 week to a month or two, depending on conditions- might be longer if stressed or temps are low). About a third of the seeds on the ground already had a root started. The average fall and early winter temperature is 75 to 80 degrees (no lower than 60 at night). The top of the soil does not have to always be moist, but good drainage seems important after it gets established.
