Are you meaning Kohleria? If so, it's a Gesneriad. it produces
runners which spread it's rhizomes about a bit. in pots they appear
out the drainage holes and run about a bit. They're more or less a
tubular flower with a flared lip, usually in reds or pinks, some
quite electric in colour. Does that sound like it?
