[pbs] Lycoris radiata planting depth

Dear LAuw and all.
A few years ago I saw L. radiata and another species growing
in the wild in Hunan Province. This is a Zone 7 or 8 equivalent
climate. They were growing in very damp soil along a stream and the
bulbs were 80 to 90 percent exposed. The roots were not visible, but
by tipping the flowering stem ( it was August) the roots were easily
disturbed.
In colder climates like mine, L. radiata is quite deep -
maybe 6 inches to the base of the bulbs.
