Hi Jim:
I think it was Tony Avent that offered one of these for auction to benefit the Piedmont chapter of NARGS this weekend. Ellen Hornig from Seneca Hills Nursery gave a wonderful presentation on her "improbable" garden in northern New york state where she grows many bulbs from South Africa including
Eucomis and Kniphofia that I found ungrowable several hundred miles south in my former Connecticut garden. Her reliable snow cover and superior growing talent are probably the difference. I bid for Pinellia "Polly Spout" and won!!!
Best,

Hertford, North Carolina
Zone 7b-8 I think
Early Lachenalia viridflora are in bloom. Later blooming collections are in spike. I think I need more Oxalis as the first that I have grown are wonderful. Where is the best place to acquire more?
