I have posted a photo of Crocus michelsonii on the wiki. I got seeds
collected by Jan Jilek in 2000 and this is the first time the corms have
flowered, but they are robust plants by now with several flowers per corm.
It is a very beautiful winter crocus from Turkmenistan and Iran, nearly
true blue outside and white inside, with a distinctive white style with
very short branches. It is barely fragrant, if at all.
I've failed to grow the related C. alatavicus, but now I think I may have
treated it wrong (too much summer moisture), since C. michelsonii has
responded quite well to rather dry conditions in summer and a warmer summer
as well.
