Nephrolepis cordifolia (Tuber sword fern) has largish, scaly tubers along the  rhizome. not always underground either.

Cystopteris bulbifera reproduces via little bulblets on the fronds which drop off and root. The "Mother fern" Asplenium bulbiferum does too.
