If you are talking about the plants that are currently coming from China
under this name, we have had it in the ground during a very mild winter
for us, 17 degrees F, and it had no damage. I'm not sure this is the
real thing which I saw in flower at the Kunming Botanic Garden many
years ago. The real plant is one of the most stunning inflorescences
that I've ever seen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's the same
plant.
