I certainly agree with Ellen that a personal or commercial website
can be forgiven for errors, but one should be able to trust Kew.
They won't accept seeds for their botanic garden unless they have
been collected by vetted botanists (I suggested the names of a few
very knowledgeable collectors, but was told they wouldn't do), so why
should they be careless with pictures they offer us?
There are some other sites I visit that have only line drawings.
These are not nearly so exciting as colour photos, but perhaps the
Checklist could offer both: guaranteed-correct line drawings, plus
take-your-chance Google Images. A disclaimer could be added, which
would be similar to that of seed exchanges: when plants grown from
these seeds mature and flower, please check that they are indeed what
they were said to be.
