Dear Jim:
I was wondering the same thing. This summer, I found a website,
http://www.tntuberoses.com/, that sells only Polianthes tuberosa. The
curiosity for me is the nursery location. They are located in northern
Tennessee, and the hardiness zone appears to be about the same as mine,
6b. Their photographs suggest they have a large field growing operation,
and they provide cultural tips for growing outdoors. I guess I would
find it hard to believe they would dig up fields of it every fall to
avoid freeze damage, but maybe they would. Otherwise, maybe, with some
mulching, it's hardy to zone 6? Boy, I really like the picture of the
Manfreda cross.
