I am so excited!  Years ago when I was reading the plant collecting 
books written by Frank Kingdon-Ward, I read about the dainty, nodding 
pink flowers of a Nomocharis that he found on a mountainside in 
northern Burma.  This was later considered to be a lily, and named 
for his wife, using her maiden name of Macklin.

This week one is blooming under an apple tree in my garden, six years 
after sowing the seed.  It is lovely!  So different from the usual 
big bright lilies that are usually grown.
