[pbs] an Iris question

Usually the reason bearded iris do not bloom is:
1. Not enough sun, they need 6 hours of full sun a day)
 2. Overcrowding, they haven't been divided in several years and have grown
rhizomes all over each other
 3. Being planted to deep in the soil. The top of the rhizome should be
exposed to air and they need plenty of air circulation. They do not like other
plants crowding them or covering the rhizomes, it is not a good idea to have
any pretty ground covers growing over them. Do not mulch them.
It doesn't sound like it could be the first 2 reasons but these three are the
only ones I can think of now.
Maybe Chad (another iris grower) can think of more and will respond.
