Dear Mark;
Lycoris grow in China in damp shady spots or the edges of woodlands.
In cultivation they seem to do best where they get warm
summers, not necessarily for a dry baking, just warm to ripen bulbs
and produce produce flower stems. You may just not have the heat
needed to induce blooming. Maybe you could try them in your warmest
spot. They do tolerate a lot of sun.
