I envy your ability to acquire these. Besides my not being able to find
any sources, many don't even know what I'm talking about, usually
thinking I'm mispelling "Urginea". I've still got that image you sent, I
think it was last year.
Your observation about the basal plate is quite interesting. Can you
tell if the tissue is living? Are you suggesting bulblets or some kind
of runners may form off of them for asexual propagation? It's a very
curious observation.
