Geneva and I picked up the swarm from the fellow's house in Carrboro
this evening. The swarm had moved into the space between the floor
joists between the 1st and 2nd floors. They had been there less than 1
week. There were 4-6 pieces of comb. We were able to cut some
sheetrock out of the ceiling and use a bee vac borrowed from Jack Tapp
to snatch them. It worked like a champ. I'd say we got over 99% of
the bees and I only saw 3 dead in the bottom of the vac when we got
home. The homeowners got a small batch of some seriously local honey.
