It may be a Zionist plot! Seriously, this may not be the best news. 
Viruses (viri?) are notoriously difficult to cure  or prevent except by 
vaccination or vector control. Perhaps an oral vaccine could be 
developed, but you would have the "orphan drug" problem. Somewhere I 
have read that a species of Nosema is the vector. The North American 
variety is easily controlled by Fumidil.
