Back to Peter:
My son has a good diagram of sun orientation by bees. Get a copy and
after the homing demo with powdered sugar you and your neighbor can
discuss sun navigation and communication by dancing. It will take a few
days for foragers to find the new source. Once they have, they will
convince the others that it is a better deal than the pool. You can also
put a little honey next to the water: that will attract them to vicinity
in a hurry.
Depending on neighbor, you could try a little communication by dancing.
