[NAFEX] three selections of apios americana

I planted Apios americana probably 20 years ago, from seeds I got from
LSU. I did eat some of the tubers then found that it was getting a bit
weedy. I'm in the colder part of Zone 5, and the tubers have survived
to below minus 25 degrees F.

Nowadays, the bed where I planted it is a flower bed and I just try,
unsuccessfully, to weed it out. Occasionally I'll search for some
tubers but haven't found any, probably because there's a lot of
competition for light and nutrients in that bed.

Very occasionally the plant produces some very fragrant flowers.
