My late summer fruit drought is over. I now have Satsuma mandarins coming ripe. The birds have been after them this year, which is a first for me.
One of these days, I'll find some fruit to fill the gap between the figs in July and the Satsumas in October. Then I'll have fresh fruit all year. I didn't get my August flush (third crop) of strawberries this year because of drought, but they are usually few and small anyway. I'm still working on SWMBO to put some bananas in, but apparently they don't fit with the french style of the house or something. Oh well.
