[NAFEX] Chipmonks in blueberries

Will chicken wire prevent all bird predation from blueberries? Chicken wire has about 1.25"-1.5" holes. We have some pretty small birds flying around here, will it keep them all out? Birds are awful this year. They are digging up sweet corn seeds like mad. They even pull up some of the plants, in their zeal to get to the seed. I've partially replanted some rows 4 times. Last night I even covered some replants with as much window screen, as I had on hand. Ridiculous.

When I built my chicken wire blueberry house I foolishly failed to bury it deep enough to keep the chipmonks out. Instead of correcting this I end up trapping the striped rats in rat traps baited with raisons and nuts. They're pretty easy to control that way and the chicken wire keeps out the birds so I'm not unintentionally killing any of them.
