The reason DNA Gardens cannot ship the U of Sask. Cherries until 2007 is
because they are tissue cultured plants in 2006. Canadian nurseries cannot
export live (green/growing) plant material to the United States; only
dormant material is allowed across the border. So, if one of us were to buy
the 125, or more, plants in 2006, DNA Gardens would set aside that number
from Canadian sales, allow them to go dormant and ship in 2007.

Jim, thanks for taking the initiative on this. I also would spring for
5 trees of each cultivar. Is the reason DNA Gardens would not be able
to ship plants until 2007 because it would take a long time to process
the paperwork? -- Sam Brungardt, St. Paul, Minn.
