I've always been fascinated by the Ginko fruit, nothing less than a
teenager's basketball shoes after a season of hard playing can match the
Here in South Carolina the trees are commercially reared for their
leaves. They are harvested with specialized combines by the ton for the
herb markets. More profitable than peanuts and cotton, I've heard.
Maybe Clemson University has some info. Don't let them steer you into
peaches 'cause that is where they shine. (and no where else except
Ginko must be tough, it one of the the most primitive trees and survives
the nutrient raped soil of the cotton plantations here. My guess is that
you have a moisture problem. Too much water is as bad as not enough
water in some cases.
