Thanks for all the imput, I'll decline scion wood for now, and pass on all 
the posts to him.  FBNI says it's a cross of p.ussuriensis and p. communis. 
-50F. "good for canning or fresh eating".......these descriptors...I presume 
they just come from catalogs? or does SS Exchange try to evaluate on their 
own. ( I can't imagine the task!) Del
