I keep this huge wall calendar on the wall near the kitchen. As I plan
the garden I write things down in the corresponding boxes for the dates
I plan to do them, whether it be seed starting indoors or outdoors,
planting out, etc. I also refer back to last year's calendar and
adjust dates as needed (like next year I plan to start my onions 2 wks
earlier) when filling in the to-do list pre-season.
My Dad gets me for Christmas a really big calendar (like 1.5x the size
of a desk blotter); it's costly, but it's his gift to me. Barring that,
$1 calendars from the Dollar Store would work, too, but I'd need a few
of them because writing space would be limited.
