It may be poor marketing to charge directly for delivery.  I typically 
drive 60-100 miles on delivery routes; it takes me 2-4 hours.  OUR 
vehicle costs are down to about $.10-$.15 per mile.  $10/hour is enough 
to cost for a driver, I think.  So, as much as $60 for a trip.  I don't 
directly charge for delivery, but I don't like to make a trip for $200 
in sales.  $300-$500 is more the norm.  Whenever possible, I make my 
trips multi-purpose: wife going to work or "I've got a doctor's 
appointment, what can I sell in that area?"
