I know with our polycarbonate panels we have a layer with UV protection that must go on the outside to avoid premature breakdown of the panel from ultraviolet light exposure. Would the IR poly film have a similar limitation or is it protected universally? That's a different issue than the function of the IR feature.

>I does not matter which way you apply it. IR film is made in three layers the inner layer of plastic is blended with metal I think its copper. The metal reflects the IR rays back into the greenhouse. The metal layer is sandwiched between layers of clear poly. You might be confused because on a double layer inflated house the IR sheet goes on first and the standard poly layer goes on top putting the IR sheet always on the inside... Bob.

We weren't sure if there was an 'inside/outside' to the film and of course put it up on a weekend evening so Farm-tek was closed. After calling we were told the writing goes on the outside by the person who answered the phone. The next person up the ladder said no, the lettering goes on the inside.
