[Market-farming] broadfork experiences?

I have one I bought from Johnny's. I love it. I also have heavy clay soils, and I am make deeply-dug raised beds. I till in organic material for a couple of years, then when the soil is loosened a bit I double dig the bed. The years after that, I spread compost on the top and use the broadfork to 'lift' the soil a little. It really seems to keep it from compacting. I'm sure it would also work on beds that haven't been double-dug.
I also like the broadfork for weeding when I get deep-rooted weeds...Stick the fork in and lean it back to lift the soil, which loosens the roots so I can pull them right out. It goes a lot faster than any other method I've tried.

Subject: [Market-farming] broadfork experiences?
Does anyone on the list use a broadfork or u-bar?
We're looking at one as a possible addition to our tool shed and wondered if anyone with experience using one could make a recommendation or comment on using/purchasing one? Our soils are very clayey with virtually no rock. Curse and blessing rolled into one.
Thanks!
